A well-known maxim states, “Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.” People in positions of power often abuse their power toward selfish ends. That said, there is a form of great power that does not corrupt. It is a power we all need. It works in us and through us for both our benefit and the benefit of others. It is the power of God.
